thank you
as the year comes to an end and in the spirit of thanksgiving and christmas, many are expressing their heartfelt gratitude to their love ones and reflecting upon their life thus far, or the year at the very least. so as the church come together to give thanks to God and to pastors, to Sun, i came to realise that i too have a lot to thank the church; OUR church..(a dear friend reprimanded me for saying 'your church' also =/)Monday, December 21, 2009 cityharvest wasn't the first church i stepped into. but it sure was the first church that showed me what it is like to be with God. and i thank God for that, because i stayed and decided if i was going to live life, i might as well have God on my side. tonight i remembered the times i spent traveling to attend services and eventually cell groups, the times i sat in the hall that blew me away the first time i set eyes on it, the times when i ushered there, how i enjoy ushering, how everytime when i'm there everything seems easy to bear and there was always enough love and hope to go around and back..basically i remembered how i love the place, and how much i will miss it if i ever go away.. the leaders shared and thanked pastor and sun, and hearing about their sacrifices brought tears to everyones' hearts..i salute you pastor and sun! for daring to creatively chase your dreams! because of them, i have a place to call 'home'.. so to all the people i've met and known, thank you.. to my members and friends in all the cell grps i've been in before, thank you.. to the ushers i've come to know and learn from, thank you.. to dearest, i love you and thank you.. to God for my grades, my family, gong gong's recovery, for being good to me even when i'm such a stubborn girl, Thank You.. and yes, it was also because of cityharvest that i am now with dearest..so erm, thank you rhonda and timothy for bringing thaddeus to church...! haha..
