i finished reading "A Place Called Here" by Cecelia AhernSaturday, September 12, 2009 verdict: I LIKE!! =DD feel that its better than "PS. I Love You"..but than again, its a whole different type of story. Like the other book, "If You Could See Me Now", this book is more on the magical, fairytale side. what i like about both books is that at the end there's always a lesson about life to learn..how we should grow up too fast, how we shouldn't become too obsesses with certain things..but well in general to appreciate the positive and beautiful things that life has to offer. my favourite part in the book: "There was a musty smell in the shop, everything was second-hand; used, had a history. Thin T-shirts had depth, had layers glazed upon them...There were no books unread, no hats not yet worn, no pens not held. The gloves had held the hand of an owner's loved one, the shoes had walked distances, scarves had wrapped, umbrellas had protected. These objects knew things, knew what they were supposed to do. They had experience of life and lay in baskets, folded on shelves and hung on rails ready to teach those who wore them." read the book if you've got the chance...or come borrow from me! =) but i have a request if you borrow it, can please help me to wrap it?? haha..i kindda dog-eared the cover because i brought it out without a bag once...sads...or will trade to borrow "Where Rainbows End?" =p ------------------------------my today---------------------------------- went celebrating colin's birthday at a superdupercoolbeansnewlyopened ktv at iluma! its really really new, stylo-furniture, nice deco, high technology, great and prompt service and even the function to record your own performance!!! soo dupes cool!!! but its really ex...if not for the promotion (ends really soon!!!) and birthday boy's treat..we wouldnt even dare step foot inside..BUT I GOT TO TELL YOU ALL THIS. i found the couch/sofa that i want!!!! its, okokay, imagine with me okays, white patent (means glossy, shiny and erm, easy to wipe clean) faux crocodile embossed print!!! and and it even has MATCHING CUSHIONS!!!!! omgosh. firm and comfortable tooo...wooo...gian..played pool and psp inside the same humongous room tooo! watched "the dark knight" again with cellgrp...the things that joker says are kindda true..just in a morbid perspective. and in the truck-chasing scene after harvey lied about being batman, joker shows up in a circus (i think) truck that had the tag line 'laughter is the best medicine'. but being joker's choice of mass destruction vehicle, it became 'Slaughter is the best medicine'...haha..smart. said my piece at 1:55 am
