i am back from camp!!! woohooO!! back to the rest of the world and to the internet like an addict. anyways, after the 2.5days in the sun and of it a WHOLE SUNNY day under the BLAZING HOT (harmful) uv rays; i am officially BURNT to the max. seriously think my nose and cheeks are suffering from first-degree burns. they are a little blistery looking and totally disgusting. who's to blame but me..for not putting on sunscreen or suntanning with spf. =((

came back home last night and got, "aiyo, what happened to you!?" from family.
went to work today and got, "xiao mei! ni sai dao na mer hei!!!" from the ladies.
met a few e420-sters and my poor red cheeks and nose got laughed at.
fabulous.

the ladies suggested that i used honey water to wash my face or just apply honey on the affected area. but of cause not leaving it on for too long! imagine if i fell asleep with the honey on my face. the next time when i wake up, i'll be ants-face! or worse......attract like bears or bees. or lizards. xiao qiangs. or... ....

so i went to search for some natural-home-made remedies online..and to see if honey really works. from my 5page-random-selection-of websites-search, i've concluded that:
Honey is not a very popular remedy.

the most common ones that appears on most sites are:
1. my best friend; the aloe vera. it works wonders i tell you. apply all over...and enjoy its cooling effects..furthermore, it prevents the skin from peeling too! its sad that only a quarter of my trusty aloe vera gel is left!! =/

2. cucumbers. covering burn areas with slices or mashed up cucumbers help to cool the skin too i think...like facial...! so of cos if cucumbers are good, tomatoes are also good!! same theory i guess. apparently lettuce, cabbage and mint leaves work too...

3. milk! (and yogurt) wonders. no wonder its a general belief that bathing in milk gives you goddess-like skin. can mix together with the other remedies too..but be sure to wash it all off! if not you're be smellysmelly sour!

4. this keeps appearing, vinegar water..but some sites disapprove saying that its acidity or something causes more irritation to the skin instead of healing and hydrating it...so, better not try. better to be safe then sorry! imagine you get funny patchy skin after!! not pretty.

5. other standard stuff like calamine lotion, take cold baths (ha! one site said taking warm baths will help take the heat from your skin...but doesnt the warm water just make your skin hurt more??), keep damp tower on burn areas, dont stay out of the sun, moisturizer, drink loads of water..etc.

wells, think i'm just going to finish up my aloe vera gel...take prolong cold baths and stay out of the sun's rays (sadness). and apply some food on my face...maybe..just maybe..going to keep away from sentosa for the next few months...at least i (going to) have a hopefully-golden brown tan!

BUT it totally sucks to have weird tan segmentation.
dont laugh.
